They came.
But...
Something's got to slow down the Heritage juggernaut! I'm deciding that it's a good time of year, with opening day about two weeks away, to check in on last year's young bucks (pun intended), see how they fare with regard to 2008 lineup cards. Let's open a pack of 2007 Bowman Draft Picks and Prospects.
Let's tear in.
Top to Bottom:
BDP1 Travis Buck ("Baseball's Happiest Man" ®)
BDP5 Kevin Kouzmanoff
BDPP45 Ryan Pope Chrome
BDP12 Cameron Maybin Chrome
BDPP57 John Tolisano Gold Border
BDPP74 Franklin Morales
BDPP98 Joey Votto
I am not enough of a baseball scholar to deliver a complete verdict on this pack, but I think it's pretty good. Buck and his maniacal smile should be in the A's starting lineup this year. Maybin will have to prove himself in the NL with the Marlins this year, but that shouldn't be a problem. Who knows, if Cabrera turns out not to be all Detroit had hoped for, that could turn out to be a steal for Florida. Kouzmanoff will steadily improve in San Diego. Heck, even Joey Votto got a Heritage card this year.
P.S. I apologize, Franklin Morales, that the Venezuelan public school system failed you so badly. Just don't ask Travis Buck to be your handwriting tutor.
Big Americana poppin '@ Thorzul Will Rule.
Everton, my second favorite EPL side. +1 for Thorzul.
