2004 Fleer inScribed
Alright, enough of the new stuff (for now), here's an older pack for you to check out today. Not ancient, by any measure, but not brand new.
Let's tear in.
Top to Bottom:
32 Roger Clemens
15 Kerry Wood
60 Brian Giles
40 Ben Sheets
18 Frank Thomas
Grade: C
These look like matted wedding shots, something that would hang out on the bottom shelf of a coffee table in a plastic-covered ivory-colored photo album. "Oh, honey, this does bring back the memories, doesn't it? Remember when Roger and Kerry got married? It was beautiful...Kerry was just glowing!"
"Sure. Then Kerry hurt her (sic) elbow, and Rog had...what was it, like a drug thing or something? Anyways, they've split up. Roger works in New York now, and Kerry is just barely holding onto her job. Gosh...it seems like only yesterday they were striking out 20 batters in a nine-inning game. Oh well."
I just knew something was amiss when Pachelbel's Canon in D started playing when I tore this sucka free.

I found a pack of these at Target for $1.59 - possibly one of the most wedding-ish sets ever.
