2007 Bowman Draft Picks & Prospects

Like Thorzul and his '52 Rookies, I just like this stuff. It's much better than the base Bowman and it's fun to figure out where all these rookies/minor leaguers are now. There are still a lot of loose packs floating around the big box stores too, so it's perfect for snagging a pack on a whim. Here's my latest:

BDP42 Curtis Thigpen - Not a RC (2004)
A backup catcher/first baseman for the Jays who is currently at Triple-A Syracuse.

BDP11 Tim Lincecum RC
A true Rookie card and one of the big boys in this set. So far this year he looks like an ace, which is good, but he plays for the Giants, which is bad. He might get the Matt Cain no support at all award this year.

BDPP74 Chrome Franklin Morales
Franklin is in the Rockies' starting rotation and is pitching well. He pitched 6 innings and gave up no runs for a no-decision in his debut and his second start against the Braves was snowed out. What Moron scheduled the Braves' only appearance in Colorado this season for early April?!? It's not their only appearance anymore, now they have to burn an off day to go back this summer.

BDP3 Chrome Justin Upton RC
Another true rookie card, Justin is on fire so far this season. Better pick him up quick in your fantasy league unless you're in my league, of course.

BDP50 Gold Ryan Braun - Not a RC (2005)
Like Justin, Ryan has hit three homers in the first couple of weeks of the season. Ryan's a beast, it's too bad he already had rookie cards in 2005 .

BDPP46 Josh Horton
A shortstop prospect in the A's organization. He's currently playing for the Stockton Ports.

BDPP90 Alcides Escobar
Another shortstop prospect, this time for the Brewers. After a good spring he was sent to the Double-A Huntsville Stars.
