The 11th Hour: 2006 Topps Series 2 Jumbo

No packs have been ripped today, so I'll pull another one out of my queue to protect the integrity of APAD. This is pack number four of my 2006 Topps Series 2 Jumbo Box, and it's comin' at you...now.

359 Chase Utley
566 Paul Byrd
581 Brian Fuentes
350 Joe Nathan - Just because it bears repeating: Joe Nathan, Francisco Liriano, and Boof Bonser for A.J. Pierzynski. Brian Sabean is still employed by the Giants.
485 Kevin Millwood
339 Yadier Molina
599 Ozzie Guillen MGR - Signing autographs or reciting Shakespeare? You decide.

558 Jeromy Burnitz
TS-AS Alfonso Soriano Topps Stars
SC-HW Hugh Williamson US Constitution - HUGH!
414 Lance Niekro - Joe's son is now trying to resurrect his career by switching from first base to the mound as...a knuckleballer. Makes sense.
492 Bob Wickman - Don't make any sudden moves around Bob, or you might be sucked into his gravitational pull.

640 Jeremy Hermida RC
496 Jose Capellan RC - This one's weird; the "Rookie Card" logo is stamped in silver foil. Anyone know why?
473 Jason Lane
502 Morgan Ensberg
421 Brad Halsey
507 John Patterson
396 Pat Burrell - Or as the Philly fans know him, "BOOOOO!".
458 Luis Castillo
377 Raul Ibanez - It seems like every year, he drives in 100 runs out of nowhere.
412 David Bell
Checklist 2 of 3
MHR69 Mickey Mantle Home Run History #69
481 Vinny Castilla - I believe he's now the President of Mexico.
482 Chris Reitsma
629 Ryan Jorgensen RC - Lots of Marlins rookies in this set.
597 Jim Leyland MGR
476 Mike Lowell
623 Geovany Soto RC
616 Kenji Johjima RC - Back-to-back rookie catchers. Soto looks like he'll finally start for the Cubs this year.
576 Rondell White
659 Bronx Bombers: Alex Rodriguez and Gary Sheffield - How precious!

601 Braves Team Card
656 Cleveland Rocks: Grady Sizemore and Aaron Boone - Well, they're half-right.
652 Lone Star Sluggers: Hank Blalock and Michael Young

Ah yes, the ol' "Back-Logoing" scandal of aught-six. It gave me some material to worth with for a few months after the whole Alex Gordon fiasco died down.

If Ozzie's doing Shakespeare, it must be the extra filthy version.

Chris - Thanks! That explains it. I also pulled a foil-stamped Papelbon RC later in the box.

Steve - Hey, whatever it takes to attract a new audience to the classics.

Wickman would win any David Wells lookalike contest he entered.
