I only pick up packs at shows and I only really make it to the Reading Show a couple times a year so I'm back with a box and 6 packs for the next couple weeks.
Today at Reading, where Chris will be tomorrow, a dealer had 1980s Donruss All Stars boxes for $4 each or 3 for $10. Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, I plunked down my $4 and walked away. Another dealer said he had not seen 1986 Donruss All Stars since he "cleaned out his garage."
A checklist can be found here.
THREE Hall of Famers! Tony Gwynn, Ozzie Smith, and Eddie Murray
Worst Pack: Jose Cruz, Ron Darling, and Gary Ward.
The collation sucked. With 108 cards, I got 54/60 in the set. I was also missing one Hank Aaron puzzle card. I did complete the pop up set but many were damaged by the packing machine. One of the six cards I was missing was my boyhood idol, Nolan Ryan.
That said, if you have #4 Dale Murphy, #21 Nolan Ryan, #28 Dwight Gooden, #29 Glenn Wilson, #44 Tom Brunansky, or #58 Sparky Anderson get in touch with me at email@example.com. I have plenty to trade.
