Bowman Draft Picks and Prospects Blaster

I was at the Wal-Mart this morning looking for packing supplies (I just sold a couple of old textbooks on half.com), and found the last remaining blaster box of 2007 Bowman Draft Picks and Prospects. I know BDP&P sucks, but it was either that or a Blaster of Topps '52 Rookies.

By the way, the only major difference between retail and Hobby is that the stated odds of finding an Autographed Chrome Prospect is 1:575 retail packs -- as opposed to one-per-box in Hobby. Then again, real collectors have never considered the Autographed Chrome Prospects part of the set anyway.

N.B. All base cards are green bordered (unless noted) and all Prospects are blue. But you knew that already.

Here goes nothing...

Parallels:
Gold Prospect: Luke Hochevar
Chrome: Yunel Escobar
Chrome Prospect: Cody Crowell

Notes:
  • Reason #237 why "bundling" BDP&P with BowChro DP&P sucks: In two of the eight packs, I received the same card in both regular and Chrome. (One of which happened to be Barry Bonds.)

  • In all eight packs, the one-per-pack Gold parallel was of a Prospect.

  • And yes, I got a JOBA!!!! RC. JOBA!!!!-mania is indeed, running wild in The Hobby, brother.

All sixteen of the Prospects this Blaster yielded, were ones I needed for my set. Everything else is available for trade if anyone wants them.

Two Bonds in a PACK?!? Barf! At least you got a refractor though. I was planning on building this set, but TriStar and their autographs and shiny, shiny cards have derailed that idea.

love the blog. i'd like to guest-post sometime when I have time.

I'd be interested in the LaPorta chrome. I understand your point with the crappy collation. Heritage and DP&P are both guilty of that. Let me know what is on the "want list."

DAYF, I am breaking a set of TriStar and autos if you're interested. email me at thebradau@bellsouth.net

Anyone know of some good trading blogs or sites? I have some good stuff I am not interested in (i.e. TriStar) and looking to deal.

Thanks fellas.
